How to Comment on, Update, and Complete a Task
In Momentum AMS, all task updates, follow-ups, and internal communication are tracked through the Notes system — not threaded comments. Each task is part of the Activity History tab on the insured’s profile, where it can be updated and documented with linked notes. This ensures consistency, traceability, and team visibility.

How to Add a Comment (Using a Note)

To record progress or add internal communication to a task, you’ll create a Note and link it to the related task.

Option 1: From the Insured’s Activity History

  1. Go to the Insured’s Profile

  2. Click on the Activity History tab

  3. Click the Notes sub-tab (or scroll to the bottom of the page)

  4. Click Add New

In the note creation form:

  • Enter a Subject (e.g., “Follow-up on Driver List”)

  • In the Task field, select the related task from the dropdown

  • Add your comment or update in the body

  • Attach files if needed

  • Click Save

Option 2: From Within the Task

  1. Go to the Insured’s Profile → Activity History

  2. Find the task and click its title to open the detail view

  3. Click Add New within the task window

  4. The task will auto-link to the note

All notes tied to a task appear in both the Activity History and the Task Detail for full visibility.

✅ How to Complete a Task

Once the task is resolved, you should mark it complete to remove it from your open pipelines.

Steps:

  1. Open the task from Activity History

  2. Click on Actions on left, the click Mark Closed

  3. (Optional but recommended) Add a final Note summarizing what was done

✅ Completed tasks no longer appear in the Task Overview Pipeline by default but remain searchable.

Attaching Files to Notes

Files related to a task — such as driver lists, signed forms, or confirmations — should be uploaded as part of the Note.

  • They’ll stay visible with the note in Activity History

  • This keeps the task and its supporting documentation together

Best Practices

  • Always use notes to document progress on a task

  • Link each note to the related task to preserve workflow continuity

  • Use clear, consistent subject lines (e.g., “Requested Loss Runs”)

  • Upload relevant files with the note instead of storing them separately
