Closing a Service Request

Closing a Service Request
In Momentum AMS, Service Requests should be closed once the work is completed. While there’s no “archive” function for Service Requests, you can hide completed ones from your view by adjusting your default filters. This keeps your pipelines and lists focused on active work without permanently removing records.

1️⃣ Closing a Service Request

Closing is used when the request has been fulfilled and you want to record it as complete.

From the Service Requests Overview:

  1. Go to Left Navigation → Pipelines → Service Requests Overview.

  2. Locate the request you want to close.

  3. Click on the request name to open its details view (or use inline edit if available).

  4. Change the Status dropdown to Completed.

  5. Click Save Changes.

From the Insured’s Profile:

  1. Use Dynamic Search to locate the insured.

  2. Open Activity History → Service Requests.

  3. Select the request you want to close.

  4. Change the Status dropdown to Completed.

  5. Save your changes.

2️⃣ Hiding Completed Service Requests

If you don’t want completed requests to appear in your active list or pipeline:

From the Service Requests Overview:

  1. In the filter section at the top of the page, locate the Status filter.

  2. Deselect Completed from the filter list.

  3. Click Apply Filters.

? Pro Tip: You can save this filtered view as your default so completed requests stay hidden unless you need to view them for reporting or history.

Best Practices

  • Close Service Requests promptly to keep workflows accurate.

  • Use filters to keep your active view clear and focused.

  • Reopen a request by changing the status back to In Progress if additional work is needed.

  • Completed requests remain stored in Momentum AMS for historical reporting.
